It’s extensible!

For general “hey, how might this be used?” answering purposes, my current Firefox extensions:

  • Adblock Plus - ads be gone.

  • Adblock Plus: Element Hiding Helper - what it says, very useful for helping block flash items
  • Better Gmail 2 - the Inbox Count First and Unread Message Count in Favicon are wonderful for my current tab heavy usage
  • Better GReader - Excellent with the cleaner font and the Show Unread Count in Favicon, nice for showing feed favicons and hiding the “$_people liked this”
  • Close Tab By Double Click - in combination with Faviconize Tab helps make a much smaller tab experience
  • Delicious Bookmarks - Makes using delicious easy and nearly thoughtless
  • FaviconizeTab - The width of the tab in the tab bar is the size of the favicon. so nice.
  • FireFTP - a good FTP client
  • FoxyTunes - most useful for pausing iTunes when I’m about to watch some web video. Some very nice inline support for linked mp3s
  • oldbar - returns the address bar to old stylings while keeping the new functionality. mmm, clean lines.
  • PermaTabs Mod - Lets tabs continue their position even when firefox gets shut down. This, in combination with FaviconizeTab, let me ditch gmail and greader notifiers

The only thing I’d want more from this is for the gmail tab to display unread messages by label on hover. If I used a mouse with the laptop, I’d have a gestures extension, too. I think I use All In One Gestures on a desktop.

Anyone out there have any indispensable extensions to recommend?
